On 23 and 24 August, the 69th F1 Belgium Grand Prix took place in Spa-Francorchamps. The Liège Coordination and Support Directorate in close cooperation with the local police of Stavelot-Malmedy, was in charge of keeping order. More than 850 policemen from Wallonia (judicial districts of Liège, Luxembourg, Namur, Walloon Brabant, Eupen and Mons) and Brussels as well as about 30 colleagues from Luxembourg, France, Germany and the Netherlands lent their assistance.
