2014Two-day strategic seminar in Eupen
The General Directorate of Judicial Police (DGJ) organised in Eupen a two-day strategic seminar on the specialised judicial police function. During this seminar, General Director Claude Fontaine, his advisers and the directors, in the presence of the General Commissioner, defined the policy to be adopted in four key areas of the specialised judicial police function.
At the end of the strategic seminar, DGJ took the commitment to:
- increase its expertise and to solicit appropriate technological means and sufficient investigation capacity to fight computer crime;
- keep the technical and scientific police function, under the present circumstances and subject to the availability of sufficient capacity, at the decentralised level of the Federal Judicial Police;
- promote performing research management and appropriate management control, and to share its ambitions in this field with its partners;
- rethink the place of the operational crime analyst within the investigation team.
