Mons, European Capital of Culture 2015

In the province of Hainaut, the city of Mons was “European Capital of Culture 2015”. The Federal Police of Mons provided support to the police zone of Mons/Quévy in order to ensure the security of the event. The Federal Judicial Police deployed teams on the ground, more specifically in critical locations, and monitored risk profiles and groups on the Internet. Similar support was provided at the closing ceremony on 12 December.
