Minister visits CIC in Antwerp

On 23 February, the Minister of Security and Home Affairs, Jan Jambon, visited the Communication and Information Centre (CIC) of Antwerp. With a car chase early that morning serving as a guideline, which ended in a shooting with heavy fire arms in the police zone RegioTurnhout, Mr Jambon received detailed explanation about the way a CIC works, more particularly about the cooperation with police zones and ANPR monitoring. ANPR is short for “Automatic Number Plate Recognition”.
