National police operation catches drivers not wearing seat belts and on mobile phones

From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Federal Highway Police conducted a national operation focusing on seat belt wearing and the use of mobiles phones while driving. 196 drivers were not wearing seat belts and 99 were using a mobile phone while driving. In total, 295 offences were recorded by 82 police officers patrolling aboard civilian or police vehicles.
