Green certificates fraud

On 5 May, the Federal judicial Police of Limburg settled the Sunny-HF case and brought to light an organised fraud (forgery) related to green energy certificates. Installation and authorisation data were counterfeited with the knowledge of assessors and installers, in order to bring in more money.

12 suspects (installers, assessors, etc.) were arrested. The financial loss for government authorities already amounted to more than € 500,000. In the long run (20 years), the possible financial damage could be estimated at more than € 10 million.
