Against homophobia and transphobia

On the occasion of the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia, the Diversity cell of the Federal Police drew the attention of staff members to the COL13/2013 circular on the investigation and prosecution policy on discrimination and hate crimes. In order to raise the awareness of all police members about this issue, an ‘Infonouvelles’ information leaflet as well as a poster were distributed and a ‘Midi de la diversité’ seminar on diversity was held. Organised in cooperation with the Rainbow Cops Belgium association, this seminar focused on empirical analyses of the criminal aspects of anti-discrimination and anti-racism laws, as well as on the content of the 13/2013 circular. As to the poster, its aim was to inform as many people as possible about the existence of the circular.
