The celebrations of the Bicentenary of the battle of Waterloo went on for three days. The Directorate of coordination and support of the Federal Police of Walloon Brabant ensured the maintenance of order and security, in close cooperation with the police zones of Braine-l’Alleud, Waterloo, La Mazerine and Nivelles-Genappe. These units also received the support of federal police services such as the Highway Police of Brabant, the Federal Judicial Police of Walloon Brabant, air support units, the Information and Communication Centre of Walloon Brabant, the federal cavalry, etc.

In total, more than 300 police officers coming from Wallonia (Liège, Luxembourg, Namur, Walloon Brabant, Eupen and Mons districts) and from Brussels were called up every day. Day and night, they ensured public safety and mobility in the event site and the surrounding area.
