Banditry and serious acts of violence

Around 5 a.m., the Federal Judicial Police of Mons carried out an operation in Quaregnon and Jemappes in the framework of a criminal conspiracy case. The members of this criminal conspiracy operated in 2014 mainly in the Borinage. The intercepted persons were suspected of having committed at least eight acts of banditry with serious violence against the victims, including armed robberies of the home invasion type, violent thefts, taking of hostages and a rape, which were all committed between May and December 2014.
