Together with Brazil against terrorism

In the framework of the common action plan with Brazil, the Directorate of International Police Cooperation (CGI) organised a study visit for the Brazilian police. This visit focused on the collection and use of intelligence in combating terrorism with a view to the organisation of the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil among other things. The delegation was composed of Christiane Correa-Machado, Head of the Intelligence Division, Dennis Cali, Head of the Anti-Terrorist Unit and Special Agent Carlos Fernandes-Silva of the same unit. They were accompanied by the Liaison Officer of the Federal Police in Brasilia, Chief Superintendent Kurt Boudry. The programme was elaborated on the basis of the interaction between all internal and external partners in all stages of information gathering, sharing and exploitation.
