New offices for Maritime and River Police in Zeebrugge

In Zeebrugge, the new offices of the Maritime and River Police were inaugurated on 29 September 2015. This involved a EUR 6 million investment. The new building corresponds better to all contemporary needs of the departments of the Maritime and River Police. The building counts 1,762 square metres of office space, 1,528 square metres of logistics space, three individual cells and a common cell. The design is inspired by a ship. Some 100 staff members will use it. It is also a sustainable building with a green roof and water recovery among other things.
