There is no doubt that one of 2015’s highlights was the implementation of circular letter GPI 81 on the general reference framework of special assistance within the Local Police. It involves all missions related to situations with a particular level of risk in terms of danger or violence that are carried out by the Local Police and that are characterised by the use of specific techniques and, if need be, particular means requiring adapted courses and training sessions.

The National Police Academy (ANPA) was entrusted with the uniformity and the coordination of the courses and training sessions in this field and a national coordinator was appointed within this academy. The latter developed a partnership with the different Heads of Local Police Corps and created several study groups.
