In Kigali, General Commissioner of the Federal Police Catherine De Bolle has been elected as European representative in Interpol’s Executive Committee. This makes her the first Belgian ever to occupy this post.

Interpol’s Executive Committee has 13 members: chairwoman Mireille Ballestrazzi, three vice-chairmen and 9 delegates, all senior police officers from the 190 Interpol member countries. Just like the other 8 delegates, Catherine De Bolle will combine her current function with her new position at Interpol. As a European representative, she will monitor the functioning of Europol during three years.
